Hafnia takes delivery of 'HAFNIA LARVIK'
Hafnia has announced the successful delivery of HAFNIA LARVIK, the third vessel in the series of LNG dual fuel newbuilds. The addition of Hafnia Larvik marks a significant milestone in Hafnia’s ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and innovation.
HAFNIA LARVIK, like her predecessor two sister vessels who recently joined the Hafnia fleet in 2023 (HAFNIA LANGUEDOC and HAFNIA LOIRE), is a state-of-the-art vessel equipped with dual fuel capabilities, enabling the use of both LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) and traditional marine fuels. This technology significantly reduces the vessel’s environmental footprint, with lower emissions and enhanced energy efficiency. The naming ceremony took place on the 31st of October, with the official takeover into the Hafnia fleet a few hours after. Hafnia congratulates everyone involved.
The fourth and final vessel HAFNIA LILLESUND in the series is currently under construction and is expected to be delivered by 2024.
